On this page of Ginger Witch in Northumberland, Pagan Shops in the North East, I want to share with you the shops you may enjoy visiting if you live here in the North East, or if you are visiting our beautifully wild corner of this damp little island we call home.

It is so important to me that we all try to support local businesses and shop from smaller businesses rather than heading to larger online retailers when possible. If you feel you cannot shop at a smaller retailer, perhaps talk to them about this and discuss what the barrier is for you – there are always ways to support our local businesses and as pagans our shops are not mainstream and are even harder for the owners to keep open and in business.

Whenever I come across a new exciting and “witchy shop” I will add to it Pagan Shops in the North East.

Where I have visited a shop personally I have added a review of my own experience. I will try to visit all of the shops I list and let you know my experience.

Happy shopping fellow Pagans – and don’t forget to think of these businesses and the postal services they may offer during lockdown and in the run up to Christmas – and ASK QUESTIONS – if you don’t see what you’re looking for you never know what they may be able to source for you.

The Shops

Elula is a beautiful shop in Newcastle City Center that I have visited often myself and from which I have made many lovely purchases. Staff are always very helpful, the ambiance is peaceful and the smell inside the shop is super dreamy. You will find everything from reference books, journal books, talismans, jewellery, home decor items, candles, incense, ritual items and so much more. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. – Ginger Witch

Crystal Moon Emporium is a wonderful shop full of wonderful ritual items such as incense, including a pick and mix incense cone selection, healing crystals, candles and altar items. They stock many other pagan items and offer workshops and classes too so check out their website for more information. I have shopped here myself and found the staff so helpful and full of knowledge, and even questions I asked later by Facebook were answered quickly and in such a friendly way despite being outside of the shop opening times. – Ginger Witch

I stumbled upon Mamma Mantra quite by accident whilst rummaging around Hexham recently. What a gem of a find. Full to the brim of wonderful clothing and accessories and the owner was super lovely too, the sort of person you want to buy from, a friendly face to a small business that you can feel good about buying from. I will absolutely visit again next time I am in Hexham and will be taking some spending money with me – you should 100% do the same – Ginger Witch
